Alaska Bound Join
Travel Destination
In my quest to complete my to do list of covering all 50 states on 2's, NEXT YEAR I'm heading to Alaska.
So for those who want to see this country from a 2 wheel perspective, this is the trip for you.
Depending on who is in for the ride and where they are coming from we have three possible entry points into Canada:
North Dakota, Montana, or Washington.
There will be a map and checkpoints of locations that I would like to reach before we call it a day of riding, but nothing is set in stone.
The goal is to be in Fairbanks Alaska by June 21 which is the Summer Soltice,
where the sun will not set and there will be 24 hours of daylight.
For those with smaller gas tanks an auxillary tank or gas can will be advised.
There will be some camping involved due to the lack of and/or expense of lodging.
While I have slept outside before with my bike, I wouldn't say that I've actually been camping before, LOL.
I know there is a lot of limiting factors for a trip like this, but if you can make it,
you're in for the ride of a life time.
Departing June 11, 2011 and Arriving back home sometime over the 4th of July Weeknd 2011.
Holla Back if this may be of interest to you and feel free to forward.
